Austria – MTB World Games – getting excited now!

So the training is going well (more of that later!), the bike setup is kinda worked out (I’ll be running my Bionicon Edison slightly stiffer than usual thanks to the silly amount of climbing (1980m!) in the race, and my strategy is planned too – do the best I can on the climbs, then attack the Europeans as hard as possible on the descents……

Really looking forward to getting out there and stamping my mark on what is undoubtedly the biggest international race I have EVER done. To race at the event that serves as the Amateur World Championships is a massive step forward for me – and where I finish will be my ranking in the world. Big things! So far, there’s just under 400 competitors in the Marathon category so the pressure’s on!

Here’s a little preview of just how amazing the trails are out in Austria – man I am looking forward to ripping up that singletrack!
