Yes the title is ALL in CAPITALS! Yes that’s considered bad form on the internet, but you know what, this is bigger than some net rules.
After lots of little snippets of information, a well spotted scoop by this very site a week or so ago and some leaks/gossip from Finale Ligure, the cat is now officially out of the bag.
2013 sees the launch of the World Enduro Series – an exciting joint venture between ex-UCI Gravity boss man Chris Ball and the organisers of the French Enduro Series (Coupe de France), Italian SuperEnduro and Crankworx.
This is absolutely HUGE news for our discipline and brings together the talents of the biggest and best organisers in our scene. The series will doubtless see our discipline reach new heights and gain the exposure it fully deserves as the most all encompassing format of mountain bike racing, and offer an exciting platform for manufacturers to test and develop new technology that will ultimately trickle down and benefit all riders.
To get an idea of just what an amazing proposition this is, just check out the level of professionalism and event quality that the Italian contingent (SuperEnduro) are putting out there:
The Enduro World Series links the largest mountain bike enduro events in the world with the best trails possible and exists to deliver the best racing, most relaxed atmosphere and rider-focused organization possible. The team behind the Enduro World Series has one goal – to globally develop and progress the discipline of enduro for the riders, the sport and the industry. With the shared experience of Italian Super Enduro, French Enduro Series, Crankworx and World Cup racing, the Enduro World Series will offer international competitions unlike any before it.
2013 is set to be an incredible year for sure – see you on the circuit!!
