Playing at “gun for hire” – part 1

Some days it all comes together and productivity just flows – last Thursday was one of those perfect days!

A couple of weeks ago I was approached by Ollie Kenchington of Korro Films, asking me if I’d like to be in a video advert for one of their clients, US film & photographic equipment company X-Rite. I knew this was going to be a good project when I checked out Korro – they work with TV channels like ITV, produced ex Take That star Gary Barlow’s “Behind the Music” web series and much more, so this was all set to be a bit special as far as MTB edits go!

We were shooting at the top of Jacob’s Ladder in Cheddar Gorge – a 450 foot high cliff with something like 300 steps to the top, aiming for a big sunset finale using a mix of cameras and a DJI Mavic Pro drone. Even land access in this location is difficult, so it’s testament to the team at Korro and X-Rite that they were able to get the necessary permissions from the Longleat Estate to make it happen – and it was seriously worth it!

Check out a few of the pictures below, the full advert will be live in a few weeks’ time:

BUT!!! This wasn’t the only shoot of the day – in a ridiculously action packed day, I also worked with the incredibly talented Nick Roden of WGPE on both a set of stills and promo shots for Tigra Clothing and a new ride edit too! More on that to follow…….
